Inspirational Guests

Year 8 and 9 were joined by Father Bernard and Brother John Baptist of the Franciscan Friars of Renewal, who were nearby serving St Thomas More, Barking with a Parish Mission. 

They each gave their own testimony, as well as encouraging students to live a life for Christ, particularly in their service of others.  Father Bernard spoke of his time working with Saint Teresa of Calcutta; her love and service to those who society had rejected. The students found this to be a very moving experience.

At lunchtime, year 9 boys were delighted to welcome Brother John Baptist to play basketball with them.

Father Paschal Uche popped in to say hello to RE students, who asked him about his vocation to the priesthood and experience meeting Pope Benedict XVI.
